all about sitting
Delve deeper into the topic.
The synchronous mechanism
With the synchronized mechanism, the backrest and seat move backwards, which means that the seat moves slightly downwards and the back tilts backwards significantly. This guarantees a relaxed sitting position.
The lumbar support
Lordosis is the natural forward curvature of the spine. The lumbar spine has a lordosis, i.e. it is curved towards the abdomen. If the back muscles are not sufficiently trained and become slack, the result is a hunched back. The lumbar support is often found in high-quality versions of chairs, car seats or the slatted frame of beds and can be adjusted as required.
Particularly when working in the office or on long car journeys, the muscles can slump due to fatigue. The support therefore offers relief for the spine and a relaxed posture for the user.
The cantilever chair
A cantilever chair is a chair without back legs, the seat of which springs ("swings") under the weight of a person and sinks slightly downwards.
What is tested safety? (GS)
Products that meet the requirements of Section 21 of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG) can be labeled with the GS mark ("Tested Safety"). This means that a testing body authorized by the German government has tested the product on the basis of a sample and carried out production monitoring.
For what purpose do I need hard floor castors?
The difference between hard floor castors and soft floor castors is that they are used on different surfaces. Hard floor castors are usually used on hard floors such as parquet, tiles, laminate or cork. Soft floor castors are used on soft flooring such as carpet or other carpeting.
The hard floor castors have certain advantages. They reduce rolling noise and cause fewer scratches on hard floor coverings. In addition, hard floor castors are braked. This means that the office chair cannot accidentally roll away at full speed when you try to sit down. The castor is only decelerated when the body weight is applied, allowing the office chair to be moved.
